The Great Recession (2007-2012): Lessons and Opportunities for Mexico is the result of a diverse and multidisciplinary research work coordinated by Roberto Joaquín Santillán, professor of Finance at EGADE Business School. Developed in collaboration with a distinguished group of economists and financial analysts, this book looks back to "the perfect storm" that rocked global financial markets between 2007 and 2012 and their impact on the Mexican economy. From a historical perspective, Santillán unfolds in this interview some lessons arising from the global financial crisis and the Great Recession: its impact on finance and the real economy, errors of economic policy, the crisis sovereign debt in some Eurozone countries, and the best practices that helped companies weather the crisis, among others.
