Teams from eleven Global Network schools are among the finalists in the Yale Healthcare Services Innovation Case Competition, a student-organized event, focused on bringing innovation to care delivery. The finalist teams will virtually pitch their solutions to the competition’s sponsor, ModernMD, a leading urgent care organization in New York, which over the past five years of operation, has experienced significant growth, as well as recent shifts in care and services due to the Covid-19 pandemic. This case competition will tackle important strategic questions for the company moving forward.
From a field of 130 teams that applied, only 40 teams made it to the finalist round, and 17 of those teams are from Global Network schools. The Global Network schools represented in the final round are SDA Bocconi, EGADE-Tecnológico de Monterrey, Fudan University School of Management, HEC Paris, IE Business School, Indian Institute of Management Bangalore, Lagos Business School, Saïd-Oxford, University of New South Wales, Berkeley-Haas, and Yale SOM. Melanie Taub, Marketing Co-chair for the competition, commented, "We have been impressed with the professional backgrounds of our competing teams. Our partners at ModernMD have been thrilled by the diverse business perspectives that each team has brought to YHSI."
