Map the System 2023 Registration Deadline for Institutions

October 30, 2022

Higher education institutions across the GNAM network are invited to participate in Map the System 2023!

The Skoll Centre for Social Entrepreneurship at the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, invites faculty and staff who are committed to enhancing systems change education to partner with us to bring Map the System to their students. We have had over 10 partner institutions across GNAM participate to date, and would love to extend this to as many of our partner members as possible. We were also delighted that the University of Cape Town, one of the GNAM partner schools, were our Map the System 2022 Global winners!
Register your institution now via our website before 30 October 2022 and join a global network of social impact educators committed to providing students with transformational learning opportunities.

Map the System is much more than a competition - it is a representation of our core beliefs about social change: that we all have the responsibility to understand problems we want to be part of solving.

Map the System uses systems thinking as a guiding approach and equips students to tackle complex sustainability challenges and become better leaders. They do so by working in teams to explore a social or environmental problem they care about. Students learn how to understand and incorporate different perspectives and identify the influence stakeholders have on parts of the system. Since 2016, MTS has grown, year on year. Now a global community of over 65 institutions and thousands of students, Map the System will change the way your students see the world. Watch our new video “How can institutions take part in Map the System”.

Institution registration is now open.

The final deadline to register your institution is Sunday, 30 October 2022.

What is the cost?

Map the System is more than a competition - it’s a learning programme and a learning community. We are continually adding more digital content and enrichment, including virtual workshops and masterclasses with Oxford faculty and globally recognised impact leaders.

The Institutional Registration Fee helps to support some of the costs of Map the System. The full fee is £3750 (USD $4,500) per institution.

Network Discounts

GNAM Network institutions are eligible for a substantial fee discount of £2,000 to participate in Map the System. For questions regarding the institution participation fee, please contact us at mapthesystem@sbs.ox.ac.uk
