Digital Transformation for Sustainability: Crafting a Digital Strategy to Create a Sustainable Business

The recent pandemic has significantly accelerated the role of technology in reshaping both consumer behavior and business interactions. Technology is no longer merely a supporting function; it has become a central driver of how businesses operate, compete, and create value. At the same time, there is an increasing societal expectation for companies to be more responsible, accountable, and sustainable. These developments have become critical considerations at all levels of managerial decision-making. Across industries, businesses must respond to these shifts, navigate emerging challenges, and embrace innovative ways of organizing to deliver their value propositions effectively. This raises an important question: how can organizations craft digital strategies that support sustainable business growth? This program will explore digital transformation alongside the evolving understanding of socially responsible, sustainable, and impact-driven business practices. Discussions will highlight the intersection of ethical, economic, and technological factors that shape digital strategies for sustainability. During the GNAM Week program, these themes will be addressed through interactive presentations and discussions led by distinguished academics, industry practitioners, and policymakers. Participants will also engage in experiential learning through site visits across multiple cities. In Jakarta and Bandung, participants will visit leading institutions such as Telkom Indonesia to gain insights into digital transformation practices at scale, as well as experience Indonesia’s rich cultural heritage through a traditional angklung performance. By learning from inspiring speakers and engaging directly with real-world cases, participants will gain valuable insights into crafting digital strategies for sustainable businesses. At the conclusion of the program, participants will collaborate in teams on a group project, applying the concepts and knowledge acquired throughout the program to address real-world business challenges.
