This course aims to discuss the multiple aspects involved in valuation of businesses
and provides an analytical approach for valuation of enterprise by using different
methodologies. This course is built up on the foundations of corporate finance
course. While there is some new finance theory introduced in this course, the
emphasis is on the practical application and integration of finance and accounting
concepts to valuing companies. The standard valuation methods of DCF, Multiples
approach and Real Options will be discussed through the case studies. The course
will cover standalone valuation, valuation in an M&A setting, LBOs and valuation
in private equity context.
