Beyond the New Normal: Europe at a Crossroads

As the Covid-19 pandemic has unfolded, speculation about what the “new normal” would look like has become a frequent topic of conversation around the world. Europe in particular faces a unique set of economic, social, and political challenges in the coming years of reconstruction. The region once again finds itself at a crossroads after coming out of the previous financial and economic crises and other unprecedented circumstances.

During its October 2020 Global Network Week, IE Business School will offer various sessions and other activities to participants over the course of 5 days, all designed to help students explore the current and future economic and political contexts in the light of Covid-19 and the new normal. In addition to class sessions with experts who will address these topics from multiple vantage points, the week will also feature special collaboration with leaders in tourism, the travel industry, finance, and innovation who will offer insights on international mobility, sustainability, the crisis’ impact on their sectors and what strategies can be explored to move forward.
